Web of Science links to Google Scholar

The Web of Science Core Collection and Google Scholar are now connected.

Google Scholar now displays links to citing articles in Web of Science:

This is a great way of connecting to related content in Web of Science.  Here's a demonstration of how this works

In Web of Science Core Collection article records, you will now see two options for accessing full text:

this will look up the article in StarPlus.

This will search for the article in Google Scholar.

Please note that in order to see these links when off campus, you must  access Google Scholar or Web of Science via StarPlus or the relevant database page (Google ScholarWeb of Science)

Ebooks - Dawsonera download increase

Ebooks from Dawsonera can now be downloaded for 48 hours. This is a useful tool if you're going to be away from an internet connection.

When you access a Dawsonera ebook you can choose to "Download" or "Read Online". If you select "Download" you can choose 1 day or 2 days. After the time period has expired you will no longer be able to read the book online until you download it again.

There is also an option to "Read Online". This option gives greater functionality and allows you to make notes.

You can search for ebooks using the "University Collections" search in StarPlus. Enter key words and limit your results to "Full Text Online" and "Books" using the option on the left side of the page.
